I just did my first porting of a saw. I took a mildly scored cs4600 piston and cylinder and clean them up. I raise the ex by 2mm and lowered in the intake by 2 mm, widened both by 3mm, and then removed the base gasket. I could not figure out how to get the muffler apart to open it up as well. Do the come apart and if so how? or do you just open them up on the deflector side and the gasket side. Even with the restrictive muffler the porting made a noticeable difference in RPM and power. I have never worked on an echo, they are very well built. :msp_biggrin:

just add another exhaust port to the left side,, use a 1/2 inch hole and add a deflector
