How do you keep your bar from gumming up over the winter?

It’s got to be the oil. I use the husky white regular oil and I have never ever had to scrape anything out or soak a sprocket. I do get pine sap on the front of the saw and on the side of the bar which will not wipe off, but it never is a problem for the chain/slot/rim/sprocket.

I have a 041 AVE that has not been run in five years. I had a few saws in my pickup that were at my commercial property so thought might want to check the 041 while doing some trimming at my house. It took about 10 cranks to get it started, but it ran fine was not gummed up and put it away for another five years. Thanks
