Saw a pretty popular reddit post on r/treeclimbing and thought it'd be interesting to get more insight on the pay for this line of work.
Still a new climber (4 months) but I'm making 19 an hour with a Davey company in east Tennessee (starting rate is usually 17 here but I had to remind the guy who interviewed me that he said I could start higher). I can run all of our mini skids, run ropes well, drag brush all day, and climb fairly decently imo. Also a pretty good cutter if I do say so myself
About to complete a company training book and may get a 2-3 dollar raise for that and another 1.50-2 dollars if I can get my cdl with them in a few months. I really wanna push for that 3 dollars lol.
