Which is what they are. However, technically any tool can be made into a weapon in the wrong hands.. an axe, hammer, chainsaw.. whatever.

Well said.. it should at least make them think.

Yes, I agree that all tools can become weapons, especially in the wrong hands, that's why I qualified the statement. It would be nice if the morons on capitol hill had included kitchen knives, ball-pien hammers, and snowblowers in the assault weapon's ban (which ofcourse banned only semi-automatic weapons that looked scary, as machine guns had been banned since 1938 anyway...)

As for approaching A holes in a bar, it helps when your 6 foot, 265 and muscular, covered with tattoos, and have a mean looking beard. People, generally, tend to see things my way when I want them to...

I haven't been in a bar in 10 years unless you count the bars inside a Las Vegas Casino. But the last time I was in one a guy just like you described tried to talk me into going to bed with him. And no, I am not gay and it was not a gay bar.

There is one local

you did drop a tree on a house." After a little silence the guy starts in about how it was really somebody else in the tree business with his same name and business name.

I believe that's called D E N I A L

OOMT said,

"Worst possible response. FTA you are sounding more and more like a troll."

I know that I'm an honest person, and I know that honesty and good intentions are misperceived as deception and no good intentions by people. I know how the human mind works.

As far as what I said in that post that you quoted, I won't change my mind about that. Honestly.

I bet most of the people on this forum live in the country or small towns. I've lived in those places before too, and I know it's peaceful. I've been living in a few big cities for several years now, and I have learned one thing from the most abundant of nasty people in them. You have to earn the food for you and your family's table, and you have to do something to keep it from being stolen off of your table.

All property is public property unless you have a way of protecting it. To people that just want to be brutal or need the things you've earned honestly your things are not private property. They can't appreciate private property. Seriously. To them those things are open game for them to take. These things happen, and I told you what I do at this time and what I'd do if I were having problems with people sabotaging and stealing my property too.

Keep it on the table, and protect it or it won't be yours for long. I believe firmly in that whether it sounds like sweet ol' poetry to you or not.

Also I don't even see how I could live honestly if I didn't have a means to protect myself. I'd get popped just for being some "do gooder, white person' if I thought I could go around living the right way for a good life, yet I didn't know I need to make it seem like there will be serious trouble if someone tries to keep me from good intentions. Trouble has a way of making you kiss it's ass or pushing it back. As a dad, kids aren't going to see me kissing the "bad guys" asses.

Why would you want to raise your kids in this kind of environment?

Live and let live...NOT kill or be killed.

Speaking about tats I saw a 50 yr woman at DMV the other day with the back of her neck pierced right where her spine is , and it was red and swollen like it was brand new , Is it wrong that I thought it was kinda hot???

People suck and are to unpredictable to start reacting to petty rubbish, which with just the right stupidity and ego grows to something serious.
Things get out of hand and paranoid halfwits are to quick to think a weopon is how things are going to get done. Prisons and morgues are full of them.

I have visited plenty of morgues and did some work around prisons, no theft, no finger, no words and few actions on this earth are worth it. Be a man but be a smart one.

Had one guy steal my yard sign out of a client's yard last year. He had bid the job and was pestering the girl to do it. The girl cuts my mom's hair so she called and asked me to come give her a bid and after we agreed on a price she asked me to put a yard sign out before I left so the guy would quit bothering her. I did the job a few days later and the guy drove by and gave me a dirty look. I just smiled as he went by. The day after I finished the job the girl called and asked me to come put another yard sign out because the guy had stolen mine out of her yard. She wanted to file a complaint with the police but I told her to let me handle it. I called and got his recording and left him a message letting him know that he best keep his dik jerkers off my signs if he knew what was good for him. I never heard anything back from him. Must be something about this guy that people don't like. I have ate his lunch on three jobs where I was the higher bidder. All three people asked me if I knew him and I said no. Said they just didn't feel comfortable with him.

As far as territory... Mine is where I make it. I'm doing one tomorrow right across the street from where an ex employee and now competitor was born and raised. He has lived in the same square mile area his entire life and I tear his ass up all around there. :D

If you really wanna #(@$ with their head blow em a kiss! I had a road raged driver flippin me off because i honked at him, i simply blew him a kiss his head was spinnin with rage cussin, hittin the steerin wheel. I got a great laugh.

lets try again ben

:buttkick:
Why would they do that? You must know them I guess but I don't remember a whole lot of other tree guys giving me the finger when they drove by. In fact I was under the impression that was something we didn't do to each other unless it was a mutual joke or something.
I think if that line was breeched that you must have really ticked these guys off OR they are truly unproffesionall.
I would stop by their shop to see which it is and tell them " just smile and wave"

practice what you preach!!!don,t say something like this on one page then tear someone down in "for hire"who ownes enough equip. new and used (all in good repair)to give me hand cramps and is an all around good guy, just because your bitter and bored.when wrong cop to it ,and -I OWE U AN APOLOGY-for things said in the past, I APOLOGIZE, I WAS WRONG !!and yes i was prob. loaded and prob WAS confrontational, sorry dude .past IS however past. now hope we can shake hands next time we meet, lifes to short not to learn and love.

I've got one competitor I used to wave to even though I hate him, its a long story. However, recently due to a certain event I've gone to just ignoring him, I wont even look at the scumbag. His shop is next to mine so I got tired of having to to a little too much fake waving anyways so this is a refreshing change for me.

Last winter we did a big spruce directly in front of his shop that he bid on. He wanted a crane, we had it down and chipped by 3:30 for the same price he quoted... with my 60 footer and a little quick climb out of it. The finger cant really compare to that imo.

BTW: other than that scumbag I have mostly all positive relationships with the treeguys around here. Even the ones I dont care for get the wave, some a little less pronounced is all.

You misunderstood my post. When I said to go over and ask why they gave you the finger I meant throw a molitov at em.

Apology accepted no problem
