ht 101 bent shafts?

Anybody had a go at repairing these? I've got a couple of 101s that dont work too good because of bent shafts. One works ok when the extension is all the way in (as short as the pole can get) but doesnt run with the extension fully out. Can these be repaired in any way or do you just have to bite the bullet and go with new shafts?

As per usual in aus we do get shafted on shafts.
