Husky 181/288 Cases

Are they the same? I have a cracked flywheel side 181 case halve. Wanted to know if a 288 will replace it?

They sure are close, but I don't know if they are close enough for mixing crank sides........

Not 100% sure but more than 75% sure they are not the same.

Crankcase has different part#'s
Case Bearings have different part#'s
Crankshaft same part#'s
