Hey Everyone,

Just got my 268 together. Can I get away with a 28" bar or is a 24" more suited?

I've had a 28" with full comp chain on my 670 (similar saw) and it was more than she wanted in the hard wood. In soft wood it probably wouldn't be too bad. You could also run skip chain and get away with it, but I don't believe in skip chain.

Go with no more then a 24" with full skip chisel chain, it will suprise you of it's ability!

Yup, you can run a 28" in softwood, but not hardwood.
