I just rebuilt a 281xp husky top end and it just don't seem to run the same.How do you go about fine tuning the carburator on this machine.I don't want to run it too lean and burn it up again.thanks for any help.
Your initial setting should be around one turn out on each needle.But keep in mind that your must be"burbling"at wot,not cutting.Do you have a steady idle?
you start at one and one clean your air filter first then you can adjust your high jet to as much as 3/4 if it sounds real smooth and fast you went to far should still have a bit of a 4 stroke noise to it if you are using a tach you should be at 12,500 rpm max.
