Do you guys like the spring or the hard rubber av on your 288 more? I am not talking the big spring on the front, but the other 4 on the tank. I am going to build one, and have the option of using the rubber or the springs. I am thinking springs since that what new saws have? It will be wearing a 24-32" bar.

I would definitely go with springs if anti vibe is an issue.
I am still relatively young enough that vibes aren't an issue... Yet.
I haven't used a 288 but the 262 had the same pair of options. The earliest 262's had the rubber AV mounts and later ones had the spring type. I replace all the rubber ones with springs - a lot easier on the arms over the coarse of a day of cutting.
