If I were to purchase the new Husky 350 saw I've been eyeballing I would like the option of using a 14” bar over the original 18” bar for cleanup work. I will not be interested in using all of the power that the 350 has on a 14” bar but would rather have this arrangement for its agility and light weight.

Does anyone use this setup or know of a suitable 14” -bar/chain (.325" pitch) that will fit the 350? I looked through the (Husky) bars/chains that I have access to through my workplace warehouse and none are available through this channel.

Whatdaya say?

Thanks

I have 13" and 15" (both narrow ferf .325/.050) bars on my 353, 13" is standard on all the about 3 cube saws with .325 setup over here. These bars is made at the old JoBu factory in Norway and n/a in the US, but Oregon makes similar bars that are sold both in Oregon and Husky (and several other) clothing - oregon Micro-lite Pro.
I do not think 14" is easily availiable, even though Oregon lists the Power Match Plus in this length in their selector guide for Canada. Husky does not offer it.

In my opinion the saw balances best with the 15" setup, so that is what I suggest. I also suggest 95VP/H30/S30 chain on these bars - smooth and fast cutting. Carlton also makes suitable NK bars and chains, but I have no experience with them.

Standard bars in these lengths are also available if you for some reason want that. In that case I would suggest Stihl RS or Oregon LP chain.

Here is some suggestions from Oregon:
