I believe the 357xp is a pretty good saw, except for the failiures connected with the now discontinued auto decomp - but it should have been a 360xp to beat the MS361, which is lighter and has a tad more power - at least the German made ones.......

LOL, I have never ran a 357xp - so the above is entirely based on what I have read in test reports and on different forums.......

A old thread maybe but the 357xp Dan built for me a few years ago is still kicking butt. He is working on my 346 and 372 now too. This will be my 3 saw plan for modified units.
