I had posted this needing a rebuild. Well I went ahead and did it. Meteor piston, caber rings, oem cylinder. Runs/oils good. Pulling 140 psi but supposedly that goes up as the saw breaks in. PHO $250 shipped. Thanks

I’ll just leave these here.... what I found after buying this, unfueled not run since recieved from the original buyer of this saw.

Huh? "Original buyer"? I hope you contacted whomever you got it from before you posted that. Gave him a chance to make it right.

Is it assumed I was the original original seller? If so what is the problem? You got me on the muffler gasket. Is it a big deal that the cylinder has some streaks? It was smooth to the touch and ran good.

The problem is those aluminum streaks will cause the new one to streak as well. Going by the markings of the saw in my hand and those in the picture, I do guesstimate that this is the same saw.

whats the piston look like?

Click on the picture of the cylinder and checkout the combustion chamber it’s full of alumimum from the piston. I think it can be saved. Is it for sale now?

No it’s not for sale, I don’t know what the original piston looked like the new one is good. I fired the saw long enough to make sure it actually ran. It then got torn down.

Polish the cylinder by hand evenly with 1500 grit paper to see how it cleans up. Then you will know if it’s scored of just surface hard rubbing. It doesn’t look that bad. I could save it.

Btw that cylinder is crying to be ported.
