just bought a husgvarna 266 se its run's good want idle. tryed ajusting the low on the carb. any suggestion? does any buddy now the secs on this saw from what i have read it seem to be pretty good what does the se stand for:cheers:

I'd try reposting this on the chainsaw section of this site. Lots of guys smarter about saws than us dumb ol woodcutters LOL!

My only thought is that you were adjusting either the low mixture or the idle speed screw, and needed to tinker with the other (or both). I'm no carb tuner, but I can muddle through it in an emergency by twisting screws a little at a time and doing the old eye doctor better or worse trick, just don't get too far too fast.

If no adjusting helps, I'd suspect an air leak, but like I said, the saw guys will have better answers for you.
