Sold husqvarna 272 cylinder

I would assume this is off of either a 281 or a 288...the bore is bigger than a 50mm 372xp

Judge for yourself. No scoring...just a rub. I clean this in the ultrasonic but other than that I have not touch the cylinder

The only damage I see is near exhaust gasket.

Threads still hold though

More than likely a 181/281 with the 52ZN22

Bore is measured at 52mm

I forgot about those. With 2 tubs of 181-288 stuff I forget about the other 2xx saws.

LOL, that wasn't a guess. i'm telling you it's a 272 cylinder.

so ... dumb question, why does the 372 have a smaller piston diameter than the 272... by 2mm. thats 4% smaller. why?

They changed the stroke on the 372. If they use a 52 mm piston they get 76cc

I must be dense. Is this for the 2 very different cylinders in the first picture? You seem to only be talking about one of them later in the thread. That one I agree is probably a 272 but the one on the right definitely is not. Righthand one is something very different with a carb boot.
