Husqvarna 50, year?

Hi,

I have a Husqvarna 50, S/N 7410522. It has a black top so am I correct in saying its from the 80's? and an '87 since first digit in S/N is a 7?

Surely, and the "black" top adds up with the mid to late 1980s.

My old girl is still going strong, got her in 84 and been cutting 3 to 4 cords a year ever since. Just got a 359 this summer, just to give her a rest.

The only reason mine is retiring is that the metal casing is stress cracked and a few pieces have snapped off. Saw still runs great.
