Husqvarna 570

I have a Husqvarna 570 with a bad piston.
The ring locator pin came out. The cylinder may or may not be saved. I know the 570 and 575 cylinders will both fit this saw, but what about the 576?
Anyone know?

The locating pin coming loose on two strokes is common. It’s the age and heavy usage I noticed the same thing with dirtbike engines. Probably they should be torn down and inspected for wear often.

My 570 is running good so are the two I gave my sons. My other 4 I’m not sure yet but they have compression. A while back I got a good deal on a new oem 575 piston kit. It depends on which saw needs it first.

So does anyone know if the 576 Cylinders fit the 570 or 575?
From what I have heard, the 576 was the better cylinder.

Finally dug enough to get an answer.
No, the 576 will not work. They look very similar, but their bases are different.
Transfers do not line up.

I see you already found the answer, but no, a 576 wont work on a 575.

I went through this a couple of months ago, and I believe that if it is a newer crank case, that had been redesigned, the 576 jug would fit
