Just cant make them all happy.

I believe there are weight discrepancies between the individual models also. I weighed the 592 I had and a 2188 was 3 ounces lighter.

what was garbage about the 572? I have been considering one to go along with my 592.

I blew up 3 of em and they quit starting. Just didn't have good luck with em I guess.

If the scale is zeroed it for each saw it won't matter much which surface it's on. Plus we arent talking rocket surgery here..

When it comes to comparing chainsaw weights guess it does not really matter.
Guess it comes from a background of using scales and weights that are down to grams where even a slight draft can throw of the readings or even fluorescent lighting when using a electronic scale.

Perhaps I need to get in tune with redneck scales and there value.

The issue with these samplings is there no consistency in the method of weighing other than using the same scale, the 592 the scale is balancing on what looks like a pickup bed liner and the saw is positioned over one corner of the scale and not centered. The heaviest saw is the 395 which is the only saw that looks like it might be centered on the beam/platform of the scale. Score A for effort C for execution.

The saws are placed where the center of weight is, move them off that and they will fall off the scale. I also weigh the saw lift it and weigh it again..
