husqvarna chainsaw identification (what is it)

Hello, I have a saw with no id tag. I'm hoping someone with more knowledge than myself can id this saw.
181, 281, 288xp,385,390,395 ????

Either a 288 281 or 181. The red plug wire throws me. The heavy duty spring up front is the tell. I’m thinking 281 or 181

181 I don’t think had the spring up front. I’ve only ever seen 1 281. That top cover isn’t original. It’s a good saw that I know

181s im pretty sure had a wire throttle linkage, 281, 288s had the plastic armwith roller on carb. As far as i know, only ones wothout the seventh mount were the 288 “lite” but not 100% there. 52mm =281, 54mm=288

Also, 181 cylinders had a noticeably tiny chamber, make for excellent runners. Early 181s had a smaller fw bearing as well. Not sure if it was all 181s with the smaller bearing.

See if you can put a popsicle stick through the exhaust and squish it ever so slightly with the crown of the piston. Measure it to get a relatively accurate measurement of the bore.

There was a production change went to bigger bearing on flywheel side. IIRC the small bearing saws are the oldest. Don't remember what year the change was.

I'd say 281.
Reasons.
The tiny hole near the AV mount screw on the flywheel side.
AV spring screwed to the spike (though that might have been an option in 181?).
Top cover and air filter is 181/281.

BTW. the red plug lead is just heat-resistant tubing.
