Also, 181 cylinders had a noticeably tiny chamber, make for excellent runners. Early 181s had a smaller fw bearing as well. Not sure if it was all 181s with the smaller bearing.
There was a production change went to bigger bearing on flywheel side. IIRC the small bearing saws are the oldest. Don't remember what year the change was.

I'd say 281.
Reasons.
The tiny hole near the AV mount screw on the flywheel side.
AV spring screwed to the spike (though that might have been an option in 181?).
Top cover and air filter is 181/281.

BTW. the red plug lead is just heat-resistant tubing.
