i'm a function over form guy too. i like a beat up looking but good running saw. surprises people when my beat to hell saws hand their new ones their ass

Imagine when you're the only guy in the coutry who use PORTED beat to hell saws

First time I took my first 346, our skidder was here, and he had a good laugh. Until I told him "take your 461 and have a race against me". Of course, any skidder in the world (or at least in France) know how to properly sharp a chain...

ANYTHING would be better than the factory finish. I coat of polyurethane probably wouldn't be a bad idea. I'm putting a 353 cover on my new 346XP.

I would stay away from the polyurethane as it will yellow over time.
