Hydraulic cylinder tonnage

This cylinder is on craigslist here locally for $40. He says it's a 1.5" rod and a 4" outer housing... what would this translate to tonnage wise on a splitter?

A cylinder with a 3.5 inch BORE will give you 14.4 tons at 3000 psi of hyd. pressure
4 inch BORE-18.8 tons
5 inch BORE-29.45 tons

1.5" rod seems a little weak for splitting wood.
