Hyway piston pin to long

First time out of about 20 kits. Wasn't sure so put the micro to it. both retainer grooves were the same distance from the skirt, ended up cold grinding the pin down to get the retainer to seat. Going to double check even the middle quality stuff from here on out. MS390 total rebuild, all new parts. I would of had to clamp some vise grips on my butt cheek to keep from loosing it
