I found my stove paint!
I found my stove paint!
I found my stove paint!

After stopping at seven places today and not finding any brushable stove paint...I went digging in every nook and cranny of my house (because I knew I didn't put it in my garage) and after 20 minutes found the can of stove paint I knew I had...3/4 of it's been used, but it'll be enough to make the stove look good for this season.

Now I just have to clean up the pile cultured bricks I never liked my workmanship on when I put them up so I chipped them all off the backerboard earlier this week, sand the mud I put up on the wall by the stove to fix cracks and such, wash the wall and stove, go to the laundromat, paint the wall, paint the stove...and I'll be ready to light the stove for this year. The new brick work will have to wait for spring, but I'd rather look at plain backer board then the hack job of my first attempt at masonry any longer :D
