It looks to be plumbed in to lube the chain. I'm guessing some sort of food grade (read bio) grease is used, and that the oiler tank is empty.

Add says can run a 5 foot bar......oh well, it is not nearly as nice as mine and over twice as much. I do like the 900 though. Revs rarely change in the wood.
