why are we telling people to tie in and descend on a rope instead of spiking down. this is something i was taught going up my first tree. shouldn't they ad a newbie forum, so we don't waist our time with basic questions.

We are just attempting to Educate as we have Several times before. Most of us try to Help the experienced as well as the Inexperienced climber.
