info on new cylinder and porting

I've seen piston and jugs combos on the net for my husqvarna 51 and would like to mod out the old dog. muffler mod and porting is what i have on mind, just doing the homework at this point and need help.

I'm am fairly new here too. There are alot of guys on here that will be willing to help you out. I would advise that you ask specific questions and be sure to use the search function first. Try searching "Porting 101" and "Porting for Dummies" both of these threads will give you a good start on your homework. I don't know how many saws you own now but you should count on that number at least doubling or tripling if you hang around here for long.
