If say i was to fix the compression on my jonsered 625 ll saw, would it even be worth it or would it just be a waist of time and money? should i just get a new/newer one instead?
is it worth trying to fix the compression of a saw?

By fix compression, do you mean new rings and cylinder hone?
If so, and the rest of the saw is sound, do it. Rings are cheap.

More than worth it to those who can do the work, a few dollars for rings, maybe $30-$50 if you need a good used piston and the rest is just a time investment.
Check the ring gap,not more than .025 in or you have to replace it.At same time,check piston for wear or marks.If you do it yourself,it wont cost you much and its an easy job to do.

yea, if i was to do it i would do it myself, the saw runs great, so maybe i should fix it, little better than having to buy a new one
