Those TS "all In one" coils are limited, if I'm not mistaken. Or maybe just the later ones.
Maybe thats what he's got.

I have no idea about the cutoff saw coils.

I think it will run fine.
Since the intake charge is sealed by the intake skirt, and the rings hold the compression.
Could the space in between let the hot exhaust gasses though.....

im guessing it will only last so long, with that much aluminum on aluminum contact, especially when it gets hot a few times.

The exhaust roof should be raised and chamfered to eliminate the chipped plating. I don't know how long it will last with the spot like it is below the exhaust, but at least you get to practice porting a cylinder if you go that route.

That would be a LOT to raise the exhaust. I would simply bevel the edge of the chip if I were going to use it.
