Is this mulberry?

The county cut down a bunch of roadside trees and put a big pile of them in my buddies field and he told me to take them, mostly oak but some of this, is it mulberry?

It is heavy, I'll split some and repost, they didn't leave any branches.

Look like mulberry to me. Extremely "sparkey", make sure you keep it for a stove or something w doors.
Have a couple marks about 6-10 feet away from my fireplace. Went right thru the metal curtains........
 
Looks like mulberry. The heartwood looks like it could also be osage orange but the bark isn't rough enough for that. As it was mentioned above, more pictures would be helpful.
 
Wasn't and to get it last night and split some, I'll try tonight.

It does look like Mulberry.
Check the tips of the branches and see if you find any thorns.
Osage has thorns.... As far as I know Mulberry does not.

No branches with the wood, I didn't see the milky gunk when I cut thru it like I thought Mulberry has.
