Is this sticker supposed to be on my saw?

What's the general purpose? It says 311 on the front and its very sticky on the back. I took mine off and the saw stopped running. Is that supposed to happen? I tried replacing it with a scratch and sniff bunny rabbit sticker but then the saw would only rev and not idle.
I have a new 311 sticker on order so I can get back to cutting.
Anyone else experience this?

Don't you know it's a Federal Offence to remove stickers and labels off things. Just look at the mattress label warnings and it's seriousness.
Just be luck the saw stopped running...coulda been way worse with you front yard filled up with FBI, and National Guard troops in tanks......

I carry an extra Magnum sticker in case of an emergency. Five 311's is almost equal to a Magnum sticker. But it has to be OEM, after all it is a mechanical thing.

Yup......a lot of guys remove the factory stickers and have no idea what-so-ever, the trouble that they are in for.

No.....it will just confuse the saw. Stick to one or the other.
