That is my great challenge in the year. I do a few topiary, and that's one.
It's got a fountain in front, a 16' drop-off in back. So no ladder - just 240 lb. me squeezing through a 12' tall tree.
The owner, paid $9000 dollars for that tree about 15 years ago.
A particular man. I notice that the receptionist is never the same two years in a row.
And that's the reason I keep pruning for him - if I can please that man every year, I can deal with almost anybody.
He is a friendly man, just very detailed, and trying to apply the engineering mindset to trees.
