There is an article in the local newspaper that talks about "Java logs" which are made from recycled cofee grounds. They are similiar to manufactured Duraflame and other logs but the sawdust is replaced by recycled coffee grounds. I'm not interested in using them but it did interest my curiosity; anyone know about them or use them?

I have, and they are apparently much "greener" than stick firewood as they create far less carbon monoxide and creosote when burned than firewood. I think there is also more energy stored in them than wood and the benefit of recycling something that would go to waste in a landfill.

For an occasional fire they would be great and allow someone to do their part for the environment.
