Join Carlton and others .325 .063 chain with Stihl .325 repair links?

Need to make some loops of .325 .063. Are various brands of .325 repair links compatible? Will be mainly using Stihl repair links but would like to know about mixing all common brands for future reference.

Different brands of chain sometimes use different rivet sizes, you might get lucky and find 2 different brands that both use the same size rivet. If you can, it *should* work

Ivseem to remember Stihl rivet shoulders are larger dia than Blount? could be wrong though try a Stihl preset in a Blount DL & see if it fits correctly I think all Blount are inter changeable Oregon, Carlton, Windsor & a few others but Stihl is the odd one out of the well known chains

Thanks, Sounds right...I just saw on one of the vendor's site that stihl is not interchangeable. Checked carlton and even their .325 presets are not universal for their own chain...they have 2 presets for the K1, K2,K3 series 325 chain. Their tie straps are standard though.
