I need to change the seals bearing on this saw. Does anyone know how to remove the oil worm drive screw from the shat? I think the saw is similar to the husqvarna 141 if that helps…thanks

Seems eBay and Amazon are all out of stock.

Usually, I cut a slit in the gear and use a chisel to snap it in half. Support the crank end with a block of wood when doing so.

Then when ready to reassemble, put on bearing with seal, freeze the crank in a deep freezer. Heat up a new gear with heat gun or small flame torch, heck even in an oven, pull crank out of freezer and slide the new gear on.

Pay attention to how far the old gear was on and sliding the new 1 on to the same depth.

They will lock down pretty quick so timing is a factor. Let everything adjust to room temperature before final assembly.
