I've seen buckeye trees near Jasper Michigan, about 30 minutes from Toledo. Word around here is Chuck Norris couldn't take down a buckeye tree with a 361.

Been a Buckeye all my life, just outside the big city of Sparta. Never burnt it but would like to plant a couple in the yard

No you wouldnt. They are messy, bark sheds some and when the nuts come on they make a big mess. They lose small branches in the wind too. There are two varieties, Im not sure which I have.

New york bred....ohio manified . as far as burning buckeye...prolly a few peices from storm clean up stuff...but the only kind of buckeyes i like are the college ones and the ones with peanut butter on the inside. the trees dont seem to benefit me ever...just get in my way, fall on my fence rows, and make spikey bushhog projectiles :jawdrop:
