Just got 2 Dolmars

One is a 7300 and I think the other one is also but it has no markings saying it is a7300 the only thing different is the start/kill switch. Is there any difference between the 7300 and 7900 cosmetically or is the only way to find out is to pull the head and check the piston Thanks

is the Buck the 7300 or the Doe ?
Id pull the cyls anyway just to check what was in there and the general condition of the top end. cant hurt anything to know what ya got.

i've longed for the redheads since 7th grade when i kissed my first one..i only seem to catch the silver tops though.

One started up and runs strong and the other I pulled the muffler off and the piston looks smooth I haven't put the starter assembly on it yet but will soon and try to fire her up

The red tops are from the first few years of production, there's been many small part changes, but nothing huge. Carb update, oil and fuel line material change, pre filter screen, AV spring limit stop. Other than that everything else is pretty much the same, they're very nice saws..
