here's a pic of my new spinner with chain support wheels.
it's amazing how much easier a bench mounted spinner is to operate vs a granberg break n mend.
pretty boring so far. the care package I got is the real reason for this post.
anyways... when I was ordering the spinner. I asked the saw tech what else do I need for my 046 and 064, that's constantly needing replaced.
this is what he put together for me:
1. 2x 3/8 .50 7 tooth drive sprockets w/4 washers & clips
2. clutch drum roller bearing for spare, need to repack bearings
3. 4x teflon chain guides
4. 2x elasto starter cords
5. spark plug
6. in tank fuel filter
7. bar nut for spare
just installed all new parts... sure glad I did!!!
046's clutch roller bearing was dry and getting ready to seize.
plastic guides were worn out too.
starter ropes were ok, but I went ahead and replaced.
sure feels good taking a bit of preventative action!!!
most of above parts were little low $ items totalling up less than $35 to keep two saws from breaking. he did me a favor by taking the time to put this together.
needless to say, I'll be ordering from them again.
