Has anyone seen or have a saw that my dad called a rim saw? Not a chainsaw but just a rim of a circular saw. I think it was designed mainly for pulp wood cutting. It had a small engine ( that was very difficult to keep running) Had a pulley type friction drive that pressed against the rim to transfer power from engine shaft to the saw. Think we sold it at Dad's sale in 1985. Only ever saw that one. It was sold new here in NE Mo.

Yep. I cannot remember the brand , but I saw one at a garage sale. Tilly HS under the hood iirc.
