Firewooding from the sawmill is done 'til next winter. Got my last load in and stacked Friday. Cut & split the long ones this morning. The yard smells like oak ~ you know what that's like ~ but it smells like winter heat to me.

Was telling the SheWolf yesterday that I'm gonna miss off-roading behind the sawmill building, bouncing around in that pigged up lot. And there's just something magical about finding a mother lode of big oak and ash slabs out there.

But there's no rest for the wicked. Got plenty of spring projects and chores to get busy on.

I do believe,,a bunch of us on here,,need to have a serious talk with you...when that stuff is available for the taking,, and free,, well, you know,, it just aint right you stop.............after all, I can see more room between those two stacks for shooo
