Sorry to hear about your tinnitus. I have it to very bad and it’s NO fun.
I have the Widex Beyonds that have settings for sounds to distract me from the tinnitus but I can also stream music or Pandora which is my favorite. They sure help but I sure understand the situation that a lot of people don’t.
Me too...rated 10% by the VA, which doesn't say much as you only receive a higher rating with hearing loss. Too much time turning wrenches on jets and jet engines, I guess.

For the OP, its just a guess, but he new Makita EA5600 must be pretty quiet with all the "Environmentally Friendly" stuff its got on it. I noticed its 104.4 decibels. My Makita 4300 is rated at 113 decibels and is 13cc less than the 5600. Quite a difference for a pretty good sized saw. It might be worth a look.
