Check the archives, this has gone around before and you`ll find some good information in there.

I've installed two systems so far. Got all supplies and info from Independent Protection Co.

Most people don't want to spend the money to protect their trees. Average-size tree will cost about $1,000-$1,200. Larger trees could be upwards of $2K.

Did one several years ago. (100 ft pine in a neighborhood where similar trees had been hit.)It is awfully costly to use the all copper systems with special connectors etc. I probably could have sold a bunch in that area if I were a true believer in lightening protection(I'm not). What I did do was cut a lot of trees with aluminium cable nailed to the trunk-The "protection" that some one else was selling.
