Ok they are yellow! Are they flush with topside of the rubber H / L boot?? Are they barried inside the holes?? My screwdriver goes in 1 1/2 inches to reach the screws (660).. Have never seen a limiter cap and I don't see bright yellow when I peer down the holes??

Question is the H only turns 3/4 turn - and from what I understand that means the limiter cap must be on?? So what gives.. I have the H turned all the way out (counter clockwise) and the saw still does not 4 stroke - make that seem like it's 4 stroking.. But I am only running it WOT for a sec or 2 -
and have only done it 2 times... I am too get a tach...

More like red/dark orange on a Stihl, not yellow (unless 660's are different from other Stihls).

If you are only getting 3/4 of a turn, your caps are still on.

Hey K-9, Where in CT are you from? , ok back to the thread. I pulled the little red caps off my 660. I then snipped 2 little pieces of fuel line and put them over the screw so there is no way for them to vibrate lose.
