interesting. that jacqueline tresi article is the one that inspired me to get into chainsaw milling. takes me back...(to last year) :laugh:

That first site is how I make notches in logs. Slice it up in 1" pieces and knock it out with a hammer.

That Tresi article inspired me as well. I now have my own dreams of building a chainsaw mill of my own.

I would not recommend the Tresl design of a fixed length mill. Invariably you'll end up wanting a longer bar and then you have to build another mill.

Before you make your mill read the milling 101 sticky, post #60 has a list of suggested CS mill improvements.
