hi i have a jonsered m80 that has split the cylinder it is 52mm bore after looking around for one i came across a 54 mm cylinder and piston will i have problems with the carby if i fit this to the saw i can get some new rings made for it for 10 dollars each or should i not bother thanks in advance
 
Noone has responded so far, and I am not the right person to answer your question.
I think you might have got better response if you wrote Jonsered 80 in the heading.
All the older Jred 80/81 (80.7 really) and 87 cc saws used Tillitson HS-series carbs acc. to CSCC, but probably different versions. I don't know if this will cause eny problems or not.

Do you know which 87 cc model the 54 mm jug in question come from?

You could also try to contact Motorsag on this forum to get some walid advice. He is probably the one who knows most about this topic.
