hello I'm looking at getting a small 4wding /camp wood saw.
Will also back up my 50cc firewood saw.
Wondering if any has tried the ea3601f makita saw and what their thoughts were.

Not available yet in many parts of the world. But the product looks VERY promising!

Interesting - it is shown as "Stratified air scavenging system". I wonder if it is the reed valve system? I could not find an IPL.

I will have to do some digging but I think I have an ipl for it. If memory serves it is reed valved strato.... And even funkier than the 6100

It is listed as a homeowner saw on the Makita tools USA site and it is the quick chain tensioner system. :(

Seems to be available here as EA3601F (Blue) and EA3601FR (Orange), but aside from the colour, hard to see that there's any difference between the two

Both rated as 'semi-pro'
