I see threads about using Makita ea5600 clutch cover on ea6100 saw. But I am wondering if anybody has tried putting the aluminum handle from the Makita ea6100 on to the ea5600 saw.. also muffler mods for the 5600

no idea on the handle but iirc the 5600 muffler is pretty open so i doubt there is much gain with a muffler mod

The clutch cover upgrade was my discovery, prototype testing was done by my good friend @SOS Ridgerider as he managed to get all needed parts faster than I.

Why would You want to swap over the handle bar from the 6100 to the 5600?
I see nothing wrong with the 5600 handle.

Yes, MM the 5600, she "sounds" choked down quite a bit.
Also, the stock muffler gets heat discoloration.
I need to mildly MM mine!

I just prefer aluminum handles vs plastic handles
