Does anyone now for sure if the makita branded saws are available anymore? I went on there web site and everything comes up discontinued.
 
Who cares, as long as they keep making skilsaws, drills, sanders etc. The electric stuff they make is all very good.
 
The only Gas powered chainsaws that makita has now are the DCS(PS)-540 & DCS(PS)-6400.

Makita is like Stihl. They make consumer and pro stuff. The consumer stuff isn't pro stuff, but at least you can take it to a dealer who knows what he's on about if there are problems.

In some stores that seems beeing right here too, 540-6400,
some are giving whole the line:confused:
