Mall 12A Repair Question

I picked up a Mall 12A at a sale recently, it has good spark but no compression. I tried to tear it down to remove the piston and cylinder but can't quite figure out how to get the cylinder off as it is steel covering. Can anyone give me some advice? I would like to hear it run, otherwise I will have a very impressive door stop to look at. Thanks

I just became a member here and have a couple of 12a mall saws. I took mine apart trial ans error. It took some tome but I finally got it done. Start with the external parts. Then remove the reduction gear box. You will see three bolts that go through the whole block. Take those three bolts out a d it should come apart. be carefull with the nuts as mine where metric. No sure why but metric was the only size that would fit. Good luck
