Just finished initial prototyping on the early McCulloch Flatback carb diaphragm and fuel control. The carburetor donor is getting his carb back with new kit materials for testing later this week. If it all goes well, I'll be adding it to my web store. Pics show card stock templates from the initial fit testing and then actual parts cut out.

Would anyone here know of a good mechanic on this board or anywhere else who I can contact to have my 10-10 possibly fixed ?

Jim
Depends on what you need done to it.I've torn down a few 10-10 saws over the yrs.& I work fairly cheap.PM me with details.

I do like resurrecting old bars. If they are all cooked I'm screwed lol. Gotta take a gamble sometimes
Last year i soaked a rusty old Remington Bar in vinegar and attacked it with an angle grinder with wire brush attachment.

Now that you bring it up Syncop8r,I remember when my son was about 2,every time we said that anyone had to have something cut he'd say "yeah, with a chainsaw".If I said "daddy has to go cut his whiskers off",he'd say "yeah, with a chainsaw".If his sister had to go get a haircut he'd say "yeah, with a chainsaw".Maybe now that he's almost 30 he likes to cut wood "with a chainsaw".Lol

Quick question regarding the OEM mac bars - this I believe is a 20" bar came stock on a pm 610 I just picked up. Need a chain for it, but there are no markings on the bar

Is anyone familiar with the gauge and link count on the chain for this bar?

If not, could anyone here recommend a suitable bar and chain for the saw? 20" or up preferred.

Thanks all!

It would be a shame to not use that bar, it doesn't look like it's been used all that much.
If you have a servicing saw dealer near you they should be able to make up a chain for you. Count the number of teeth on your drive sprocket and take the bar to the dealer, he should be able to take it from there.
