What sort of lub is needed for the saw's gearcase after removing the transmission plug ? I found a reference that the amount is .18 pint, but I don't know what lub to use.
Also, there is an hole in the housing at the rear of the saw ( see photo). The opening provides access to a threaded opening in the starter assembly cup. What is that design feature is for ? I wonder if I could be missing a part that goes there, or if this feature was created for use by someone repairing the starter assembly to get the fly wheel to spin. Any thoughts will be appreciated.
