Found this saw in my area and it seemed like a good price for the saw and original case. It is is in great shape and looks well taken care of. 20" bar. Is it worth this much? is there a better saw for the same amount of money used? Thanks

saw ??

picts would be nice. good saw if compresion is strong. all so depentds on what ya plan on doing with it 1-2 cords of wood is pushing a old saw of unknow history. velcome to the site
:givebeer:

Almost forgot, how much of a power loss is there from a pm610 to a pm605? i know it is 5cc but sometimes that makes a big difference depending on if they took it out of the stroke or bore. THanks again!

I dont have access to pics of the saw unfortunately, nor do i have a way to test compression on it. Though it "felt" good and ran well. I just wonder if it is worth the price compared to other options. and if it it can run 24" bar (i dont need it to tear through with that size bar, but be "usable" would be good) that was a fast reply with the specs.

I just sold a near mint PM605. Got exactly $100 for it.

No way do you want the 24" bar on it. I ran mine with a 20and it was all it wanted. Good running old saw's but with a 20" it was a very slow cutter.

If all you had was $100 to spend to cut firewood you could do worse.
